“Grīziņdārzs” expands: the area increases by 50%
At the end of last year, the creative city “Grīziņdārzs” took a significant step in its long-term development by acquiring a new land plot at Zemitāna Street 3. The 9,650 m² property includes six buildings, and its acquisition has increased the total area of the office center by 50%.
With this expansion, the total land area of “Grīziņdārzs” has now reached 28,500 m², or nearly 3 hectares, while the combined area of renting and shared spaces has increased to 24,000 m².
By combining the existing and newly acquired areas, greater flexibility is achieved in adapting the site to meet the business market’s needs and implementing new ideas. We are currently actively working on both enhancing the functionality of the existing complex and developing a strategic plan for the newly acquired site. This growth provides a solid foundation for thoughtful development and strengthens “Grīziņdārzs”’s position within Riga’s creative business environment.
Alongside the development of the new sites, we are pleased to observe urban transformations that significantly contribute to the growth of “Grīziņdārzs.” The newly established connection to Brīvības Street enhances accessibility for both visitors and partners. Additionally, the municipal reconstruction of the Zemitāns Bridge and the development of the “Zemitāni” mobility hub further increase the value of the district.
With a focused approach, we continue to unlock the potential of “Grīziņdārzs,” creating an environment where business, culture, and people converge.
