This summer has been especially active at the creative city “Grīziņdārzs” – several events have already taken place across our premises, offering the opportunity to enjoy culture, creativity, and positive experiences. The courtyard and spaces of “Grīziņdārzs” are increasingly becoming a meeting point for diverse communities, businesses, and creative initiatives, creating opportunities to experience something new beyond everyday routines.

One of this summer’s events was a painting workshop for the Evolution Latvia team, organised in collaboration with the painting studio Mākslas pietura. It provided the company’s employees with a unique opportunity to step away from their daily work responsibilities and enjoy a relaxing, creative experience together.

The Riga Classic Cars gathering brought together car enthusiasts and owners in the courtyard of “Grīziņdārzs”, creating a welcoming atmosphere where participants could share their passion for automotive culture.

Meanwhile, our unique bunker space hosted the glass art exhibition Pārmaiņas (Changes), created by interior design students from the University of Economics and Culture.

 

We are truly delighted that every year an increasing number of representatives from both the public and private sectors choose the creative city “Grīziņdārzs” as a venue for their events. To date, “Grīziņdārzs” has successfully fulfilled its original vision of creating a welcoming and modern environment for business and culture by hosting a wide range of local and international events. These have included the sustainable fashion festival Bourzma Boutique, the contemporary art festival Survival Kit 16, and Riga Art Week, which attracted more than 11,000 visitors.
